Step 1

In this lesson, you’re going to create a fabric pattern to sew a cover for your smartphone or tablet.

Using a measuring tape or a ruler measure the length and width of your smartphone or tablet.

Make sure you measure all the way to the edges.

Step 2

Now you’re going to use your measurements to calculate the size of your pattern pieces. 

Use the diagram below to calculate the dimensions of the pattern pieces A, B and C for your smartphone/tablet cover. 

Step 3

Record your dimensions somewhere safe for future reference.
