Step 1

Use the Circle tool in the Create Vectors menu to draw 10mm circles in a pattern of your choice for the pencil holder.

Step 2

Use the Line/Polyline tool in the Create Vectors to draw a series of lines for the card holder slots.



Check that they are at a minimum of 6mm apart to allow for the thickness of the tool you will use (3mm) using the Measure tool in the Edit Objects menu.

Step 3

Use the Line/Polyline tool to draw a closed shape which will be used as your storage compartment.

Step 4

The cutters you will use on the CNC mill are cylindrical and as such they can’t cut sharp inner corners. To allow better control of how the tool will cut out those corners, you can use the Fillet tool in Edit Objects to round off those corners to a radius of your choice.



Once you’ve selected the Fillet tool, set it to Normal Fillet and set a radius equal or higher than the radius of your tool. You will be using a 6mm endmill, so the radius of your fillets should be 3mm or above. To add a fillet, hover above a sharp corner until a tick mark appears next to your sharp corner then click on it to round it off with a fillet.
